Dr. Pardis MinuchehrCalifornia State University, Long Beach

Pardis Minuchehr received her Ph.D. from Columbia University in Comparative Literature and Middle Eastern Studies, focusing on the Iranian diasporic press during the Constitutional Revolution in the beginning of the twentieth century.  She has taught Persian language, literature and film courses at various institutions in the United States including the University of Pennsylvania, George Washington University, the University of Virginia, as well as Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey, and  has been the recipient of a Fulbright Award at the Free University of Berlin. Her research and publications focus on issues related to the Iranian diaspora, gender justice, postmodernism, decolonization and trauma. Recently, she curated the virtual Pendar film festival, with a main focus on women of Iran, during the pandemic. She currently teaches Middle Eastern Literatures and Cultures at CSU, Long Beach.
