بحار الأنوار / Bihar al-Anwar

A number of narrations from Shias (Twelvers) are contained in Bihar al-Anwar, one of the most comprehensive collections of hadiths. In addition to these narrations, the collection includes his commentary on them. He used about 400 sources which were written by Sunni and Shia scholars such as, Shaykh al-Saduq, Shaykh Tusi, Al-Shaykh Al-Mufid, Sharif al-Murtaza, Muhammad Jamaluddin al-Makki al-Amili, Sayyed Ibn Tawus, Al-Hilli, Zayn al-Din al-Juba’i al’Amili. In a new edition of this book, which has 110 volumes, over 100,000 hadith are collected from both sunni and shia sources. This book was originally published in 25 volumes.
